How it works

From choosing an example to getting your own image takes four steps.

The four steps

  1. Select the image reference you want to generate. Browse by topic from the menu or search the library, then open the example that looks closest to what you want.
  2. Read and copy the prompt. The prompt box shows the exact text behind the example image. Copy prompt places it on your clipboard.
  3. Customize it, if you like. Press Customize to choose other options, such as clothing or background, or write your own, and add extra details. The prompt updates as you go, and Copy prompt copies exactly what you see.
  4. Use it in your image tool. Paste the prompt into the tool named on the page. Prompts for portraits ask the tool to use a photo of you as the reference, so attach a clear photo of yourself in that tool.

Tips for better results

  • Generate a few variations and keep the one you like best.
  • Results differ between runs, tools and model versions, so treat the example as a guide.
  • What you type while customizing stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
  • Read Responsible use before using photos of people.
